As a Customer Insights Manager you will be responsible for continuing to mature and deliver a strong insight capability within the Africa region, as we continue to transform ourselves to provide integrated logistics solutions to our customers in the region. Your work will be ongoing, generating deep contextual understanding of our customers and markets we operate in to help drive a continuous improvement culture.
You will foster ongoing research relationships with the people our services touch, thereby ensuring we can run up-front research alongside current development initiatives. You will support the Africa region by recognizing and consolidating where customer insights can influence, maintaining the insight pipeline and managing different research and analysis streams with a pragmatic way of working.
You will partner with product, sales, and digital platforms teams, connecting with other functions to create and activate powerful insights. You will fuel the understanding that drives our transformation and help provide the evidence of its viability.
Key Responsibilities
Run insight research in Africa through various methodologies to develop actionable insights.
Connect multiple data points (data sources) to spot business opportunities.
Design, plan, execute and report on customer interviews/surveys, observations and derived insights and be able to confidently and defensibly present your direction and recommendations
Market trends understanding, feeding commercial decisions based on both internal and external data sources.
Drive a customer mindset within the Africa organization through timely and actionable customer insights.
Support Marketing planning with relevant insights prior to campaigns. You will take the lead in identifying knowledge gaps, initiating research together with your colleagues.
We are looking for:
Someone with proven quantitative and qualitative research skills
Someone who has extensive and documented experience developing and embedding customer insights into an international organization.
Analytical mind-set and able to deliver clear recommendations based on data.
Project management skills managing different and complex projects and tasks at one time, sometimes under tight deadlines.
A team player with strong communication skills, enabling you to engage and influence stakeholders.
Someone who has a strong drive, can work independently, but at the same time is a strong team player, leveraging the experience of all members of the team when supporting the business.
Someone with a background in Market Research/Customer Insights (5+ years), preferably from a B2B business.
Someone who believes in an evidence-based, continuous improvement culture.
Someone who is happy in an environment that is undergoing large change.
