A.P Maersk Gabon is looking for a candidate to take up the role of a Landside Transportation Execution Team Leader in Libreville. This position holder will be in charge of Building a high performing team, and of coaching, managing and providing excellent leadership.
He /She will also be Responsible for the successful execution of cargo delivery from the Port to intra city, intercity or hinterland (Inland First Mile) through the Transported By Maersk Models (TbM) namely Trucks, Barges, Rail, Air and LCL in Gabon. Planning and safely executing at lowest possible cost, while delivering on the customer promise.

Key responsibilities:
Build strong and collaborative relationships with both established and new suppliers/vendors.

Liaising and preparing transport plan with suppliers, including the identification of triangulation opportunities.

Manage vendors to help deliver an excellent customer experience through timely and cost-efficient delivery.

Legal compliance related to Customs regulations and AEO obligations.

Drive collaboration between cross-functional teams in scope of CX.

Identify process gaps and be actively involved in working on improvements to key processes to improve productivity and service levels to get on time delivery and proactive notification to the customer.

Improve the asset utilization of TbM including contracted rail, barge and truck, Air networks.

Drive process efficiency, improve complaint resolution timeliness, optimize by challenging business rules/limitations and improve E2E service delivery to customers.

Check for additional business opportunities on satisfactory resolution of issues.

Main requirements:
2-3 Years of experience in logistics, transportation, and operation management.

Proven track-record for leadership & team management, 1-2 years of experience in a managerial role.

Fluency in French and English is a Must.

Good knowledge of MS Package.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Very organized, proactive and dynamic

Prioritization capabilities and Understanding of the local market landscape.

Strong execution mindset, Solution oriented, and Analytical.

Team player, Customer oriented, and Cost conscious.

Continuous improvement skills.
