The requirements for this position are as follows:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance field is required.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Proven knowledge of applying accounting principles and practices.
Possess technical and analytical accounting skills.
Previous experience in general accounting is required.
Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Possess the following skills and/or competencies detail-oriented, autonomous, responsible, reliable, and teamwork-oriented.
Basic understanding of finance and accounting operations & internal accounting controls.
Possess interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Activités
The Accountant will be part of the Finance department where he/she will be fully responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager to ensure the daily update of the accounts, particularly ensuring that Accounts reflect the actual economic transactions of the company. Furthermore, assumes responsibility for the month-end closing of the journal entries. Analyzes monthly financial results, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and monthly accruals. The accountant is a key contributor to the financial information complying with the legal and tax obligations of the Company, as well as respecting the accounting priority controls.



To support the department meets its milestones the accountant will perform the following activities:



Under the responsibility of the Accounting Manager, the Accountant:



Provides support to other employees of the Finance Department on matters related to control and account analysis.
Prepares and inputs Journal Entries for month-end closing (e.g. accruals, inter-company).
Assists in the process of internal and external auditing, as required.
Produces ad-hoc reports when required.
Responsible for preparing, the monthly account analysis, and notifying any differences. Including the G/L clearing of the accounts.
Assists management in maintaining the company accounts in accordance with the company, Group, and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP).
Participates in the responsibility of monitoring the financial statements format (local and group level)
Participates actively in the monthly and annual closing of financial statements.
Participate in the Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-end accounting closing.
Participate in the annual audit of the accounts with the external auditors of the company and produce the necessary reports or analysis to ensure on-time completion of Financial Statements including the notes.
Prepare daily Fleet Card accounting entries to be processed in SAP by TEMPR Finance Department.
Monthly analysis of accounting accounts affecting the fleet card business.
Process and completion of fleet card program end-of-month accounting closing.
Process "Chargebacks" to dealers in the fleet card program platform of incorrect or unapplicable charges in coordination with the Fleet Card Team.
Processing adjustments on the Fleet and Rechargeable Card Programs platform for customers such as write-offs, prebilling adjustments, late fee adjustments, employee accounts adjustments, and others in coordination with the Fleet Card Team.
In charge of monthly Fleet Card upload into SAP.
Ensure proper controls of the Card Programs are implemented in coordination with the Fleet Card Team.
Give support to the Asset Under Construction project until the amount and delay reach a normal level.
Among other tasks as assigned by Management.

To support our Finance department operations while performing the tasks mentioned above, the accountant will be working on an environment that requires:

Frequent use of SAP
Frequent use of Microsoft Excel.
Provides support to other departments with ad-hoc reports (Accounting, Reporting, Sales Admin, IT, Operations)
Ensure accurate and timely execution and booking of all bank transactions.
Responsible for all reporting of throughput rent with the local government and gas stations.
Ensure that accounts reflect the actual economic transactions of the company.
Responsible for the monthly accruals and timely reporting of month-end operations to enable compliance with the group.

Produce on time CAP financial Statements package (Group Consolidation)
