The team, position & mission:

Orange Business is looking for a Senior Systems Consultant to join our Virtualization team! The virtualization team is responsible for operating, maintaining and developing our virtualization infrastructure, mainly based on VMware technologies. Both shared and customer owned platforms are a part of this responsibility.

As a Systems Consultant in the Virtualization department, you will participate in the day to day operation of our virtualization infrastructure, and participate in internal and customer driven projects. You will handle the monitoring, maintenance, optimization and troubleshooting of the infrastructure. You will get to work with technologies like ESXi, vSAN, NSX-T, vCloud Director and Tanzu.

The Virtualization team work closely together in a team effort to fulfill our responsibilities. Your key areas of responsibility as a Systems Consultant:

Incident handling
Troubleshooting
Performance tuning/ stability issues
Patching and upgrading
Capacity management
General development and improvement of the platforms
As an ideal candidate you have:

Knowledge in VMware systems on a deep operational level (vRealize, vSAN, NSX-T)
Experience with working with containers on VMware Tanzu
Experience with cloud technologies like VMware vCloud
Working knowledge with administration tools like vRealize LogInsight, Operations Manager etc
Experience with VMware NSX-T network virtualization and security policy deployment and automation
Skills to do troubleshooting and to look for performance and/or stability problems
Knowledge in at least one of the following OS: Windows; Linux: Redhat, or other distribution
