Activités
Manage the federal income tax compliance process for all US affiliates and coordinate process with State and International tax teams.
Manage income tax provision process for IFRS reporting purposes.
Perform and/or manage research projects and special projects related to tax minimization strategies such as R&D credit documentation.
Oversee the analysis and documentation of material tax issues and filing positions in a contemporaneous fashion.
Maintain tax technical knowledge by keeping abreast of changes in the federal (and material state and international) tax laws.
Planning and research for issues and transactions that impact the US affiliates and their global effective tax rate.
Planning and implementation of special projects primarily from a federal income tax perspective but also in coordination with state and international needs.
Ensure that all material uncertain tax positions are adequately documented and validate the accuracy of related tax reserves to comply with FIN 48, Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes and relevant IFRS guidance.
Ensure proper income tax reporting and documentation exists for compliance with reporting of any reportable and listed transactions for the U.S. Group.
Provide cash tax forecast and analysis based on projections from long-term plans.
Coordinate and manage IRS income tax audits for all US affiliates.
Formulate and present tax advice to upper management regarding IRS audit issues and proposed transactions involving US legal structures and investments.
Coordinate the resource planning efforts of the team to ensure efficient and effective use of available resources (internal and outside contractors).
Profil du candidat
BS/BA in Accounting; CPA or MS in tax, preferred
15 or more years of corporate tax experience in a CPA firm and/or major corporation.
Experience with the US Consolidated Return Regulations is essential.
Experience with FAS 109 is essential.
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, a plus.
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
