About the Role

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Gas & Power Trading IT team in Houston. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day trading operations, help define business and functional requirements, and collaborate with development teams and third-party providers to deliver impactful IT solutions. You’ll play a key role in system support, solution design, documentation, testing, and project delivery—ensuring our trading systems meet the evolving needs of the business.

What You’ll Do

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Serve as a key interface between trading teams and IT, understanding business priorities and proposing value-adding solutions

• Define and validate business/functional requirements aligned with the trading IT strategy

• Collaborate with developers and solution architects on design and delivery

• Prepare and execute test plans to ensure quality and compliance

• Contribute to roadmap planning and resource allocation for your delivery team

Service Delivery & Support

• Support users and resolve system incidents and issues

• Manage and prioritize a backlog of change requests

• Assist in the planning and implementation of projects and change initiatives

• Promote IT solutions and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders



Profil du candidat
• 2–5 years of experience in a utility or commodity trading environment.

• Strong interest in IT and experience with software engineering or application management.

• Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and to work under pressure, good communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with project management, DevOps, Agile delivery, and requirements engineering.

• Knowledge of front to back system flows and trade lifecycles including understanding of different physical and derivatives instruments and their respective risks and P&L measures.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, technology, engineering, or a related discipline.

• Fluent in English; French language skills are a plus.
